Artist and instructor Beth Wicker is starting a Jewlery Making Series called "MONTHLY METALS" at the arts center. These one session classes will take place on first Thurdays of the month and offer different jewelry making techniques each time.February will kick off the series with "Making a Cuff Bracelet." During this session, students will work in copper and brass to make a textured cuff bracelet. (Silver will be available for an additional fee based on the current metals market.) You will learn how to draw on metal, cut it, file it, and texture it with hammers & metal texturing stamps.
The class will be held at the Arts Center on February 11th, from 5-8pm. The cost for the class is $70 and includes all the supplies needed to make and take your own bracelet. (But please bring a pair of safety glasses and something to tie back long hair.) Welcome to grades 7 through adult.
